The subject of personality traits has come up in many of my discussions recently in the form of Enneagrams of Personality. Could you compare and contrast this system of personality mapping with the Meyers-Briggs system? Is one better than the other? Secondly, what is the point of knowing what personality type a person is? I mean, I know I'm an introverted person, but I also know that I am ultimately the one who decides how I should act in a situation. I guess what I'm saying is that it gets easy for someone to use this information as an excuse for bad behavior or poor judgment. I have a friend who makes impulsive decisions constantly and she always blames it on the fact that she is an emotional person. I think that is bogus, but I'd like to hear any thoughts you have on the subject. I'll take my answers off the air.
